The minimum fee includes a scope note, documentary review, written findings and one close-out conversation. A quotation remains valid for 14 days and identifies assumptions about file size, format and deadline.
What changes an estimate
An application spread across unlabelled email attachments takes longer to trace than a paginated pack. The number of mandatory schedules, specialist licences, related entities, translated documents and prior clarification rounds can also change the work. Accelerated deadlines are accepted only when they leave enough time for a defensible review.
For multiple supplier files, we first examine one representative pack and agree a repeatable requirements register. Volume pricing reflects genuine repetition; it does not reduce the standard applied to each supplier.
Deposits and changes
Work below R10,000 normally requires full payment before review begins. Larger or multi-file engagements generally require a 50% deposit, with the balance due on delivery. If the governing criteria change after review has started, we pause and quote the additional reading before proceeding.
